Every link that's clicked is counted, and all the stats are stored by each individual affiliate link.

Over time you'll be able to check your affiliate sales in terms of both the number of sales and also in dollars, and then you can compare it to the amount of click throughs to give you some idea of both your conversion rates and how much money you're making with a particular program.

Instead of guessing, you'll be able to KNOW with 100% certainty which affiliate programs get you MORE commissions and MORE earnings.

And when you know your numbers like that, you can begin to make educated decisions, and do things like give a particular affiliate program a higher profile both on your blogs and in your autoresponder sequences.

Cloaking Your Links

You can check a box within the admin panel which will cause your links to remain in the address bar of your visitors browser while the rest of the page displays the target URL with your affiliate link.  It does this with a standard iframe.

To a casual visitor, it will appear as if the page is still on your site because of the permalink structure.

Yes some savvy people will realise what's happened, but my guess is they'll be more impressed with the way you've done it rather than anything else. ;-)

Hide Your Links From Menus and Page Lists

When creating your link, there's another check box which will allow you to hide your new link from menus and page lists (WP 3.x+).

For example, you may be creating plenty of affiliate links, but not want most of them to appear on menus or in page lists in widgets in your sidebar.

All you need do is check the box and the link disappears from your menus.

If you need the link to show, just uncheck the box.

This gives you an extra layer of control, and I don't know about you, but I'm all for extra control over what appears on my blogs, and I guess you're the same too...

And don't forget, while these three links in the examples above are showing in the sidebar within the "Pages" widget, you can check a box in the admin panel against any you want to hide from menus and page lists etc.

This gives you an extra layer of control that we think is important for you to have.
