The built in WYSIWYG editor (TinyMCE) that comes with an "out of the box" installation of WordPress is okay, but it's lacking in a few areas.

The editor has been made deliberately simple to help you focus on what you're writing is our guess, but sometimes a little splash of colour or a box-out (otherwise known as a johnson box) helps to emphasise the point you're trying to get across.

There's also a few hidden things that TinyMCE is capable of - table editing for example - that for some reason have been excluded from the version embedded in WordPress.

So what we've done is we've switched on the hidden features, and then added a few very important ones that we thought were missing.

Johnson Boxes!

The first thing we added was good old johnson boxes.  I honestly do NOT know where the name comes from, and I've always called them box-outs instead.

Everybody loves a box-out to explain something or highlight a certain point they want to get across, and it can sometimes be a bit fiddly to add one to a blog post...

Not any more.

Now all you do is highlight the block of text you want inserting into a box-out and click the "Johnson Box" button. You then select which box type you want around the text and one of three widths (to account for different width themes) and apply.

Ta-daa!

Bullets, Bullets, Bullets...

Next we thought we'd add in a selection of graphical bullets to allow you to really emphasise those bullet points you're making.

All you have to do to get your points across is select the list and press the unordered list button just as you normally would to turn the text into regular bullet points. Next, you highlight the bullets you want to convert with your mouse, and press the bullet button we've added for you.

You then get to choose from a selection of bullets.  (I guarantee we're going to add more ASAP in a later release of this plugin, which you'll get for free.)

Hey presto!  Your bullet points are now all turned into graphics instead of the plain old square dots that TinyMCE supplies.

Separators

Finally, (for now) we added in some really nice graphical separators (horizontal lines) to allow you to naturally break up your text into sections.

Just press the separators button and select the separator you want to use. There are 10 with this first release in three different widths and we'll add more in the next version.

Once you press the button, the separtor is immediately applied at the pojnt where your cursor is sitting.
